A prominent fashion festival on the South Australian events calendar ADL Fashion Week (AFW) celebrates the diverse range and scope of our fashion beauty arts food and creative industries.

In 2024 AFW will be a three-day curated culturally diverse and inclusive program of events unique experiences and innovative activations and collaborations across the city complemented by shopping offers prizes and stylish in-store events.

ADL Fashion Week is making a stylish return this October running from Friday the 11th to Sunday the 13th.

The glamorous festival will introduce two new campaigns that showcase Adelaide's unique style and flair celebrating its people and their personalities and proudly shining a spotlight on the city's iconic cultural landmarks and heritage.

The highlight of this year's event is the 'Icons Only' campaign celebrating influential SA icons who have left their mark on Adelaide's cityscape and are trend-setters in its fashion scene.

These personalities dressed in the latest trends embody the very essence of Adelaide's fashion culture.

Some of the familiar faces featured include celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow Paolo Sebastian Founder and Designer Paul Vasileff media personality Rebecca Morse Lord Mayor of Adelaide Dr Jane Lomax-Smith AM Port Adelaide player Travis Boak and media personalities Andrew and Samantha Costello.

"Personalities from the sporting field media fashion and politics are part of the 'Icons Only' campaign" AEDA Executive Manager Marketing and Tourism Michael Rossi says.

"From renowned couture designers to television and radio personalities to CEOs and entrepreneurs 'Icons Only' features a diverse range of familiar faces who represent elements of the city's cultural landscape."

ADL Fashion Week's second campaign called 'Sense of Place' spotlights the places that make Adelaide iconic like the Art Gallery of South Australia Rundle Mall and the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.

"Seamlessly integrating fashion with the landmarks that form the beating heart of our city ADL Fashion Week is a celebration of who we are where we have been and the connection between place and art" Michael Rossi says.

"From the elegant masterpieces in the Art Gallery of South Australia to the iconic landmarks of Rundle Mall to the beauty of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens - the energy of each city location used serves as a backdrop for showcasing the diverse and dynamic fashion culture of Adelaide."

Building on the roaring success of the 2023 festival with over 30 events across the city and involving more than 100 businesses AEDA encourages businesses and creatives to apply to host events or experiences during ADL Fashion Week.
