Visitors from the wider community and tourists are also very welcome to come and learn about Kaurna culture and share in the special environment of peace that exists at Warriparinga.

All visitors are invited here in a spirit of humanity, and are asked to respect Kaurna cultural protocols when they visit the Centre.

The Living Kaurna Cultural Centre is located at Warriparinga Way (Off Sturt Road), Bedford Park.

Tours and Workshops


The Living Kaurna Cultural Centre offers a variety of cultural tours, workshops and events.

These include art and weaving workshops, group tours of the Warriparinga area with Kaurna cultural guides, and a Cultural Education Programs for schools.

We can tailor our tours, workshops and activities to suit group requirements including: Aboriginal studies programs and tours. Cultural experiences for students. Cultural venue hire for educational workshops. Staff development and training days.

Warriparinga Bushtucker, History and Music Workshop

This 90 minute walking workshop is suitable for small to large sized groups and includes an easy walk through the Warriparinga park and wetlands.

A cultural officer guide will help you to appreciate the natural environment of Warriparinga and the Sturt River as well as understand the history and significance of Warriparinga and Dreaming stories.

Our tour guides can manage group sizes minimum of 10 and up to 35 students although negotiations may be made for larger groups (age dependant) and we will always do our best to accommodate your group size.

Cost per person $11.50 Students/Concession $21.90 Adults

Weaving Workshop with the Southern Elders Weaving Group

This 1 hour workshop includes weaving and teachings from our local Southern Elders Weaving Group.

With their knowledge, life and cultural traditions you will learn about different techniques, materials and history - all to do with their personal experience in weaving and practising cultural traditions.

The Weaving Workshops will help your students to appreciate and become more aware of aboriginal culture and indigenous history.

Cost per person $13.00 Students/Concession $23.50 Adults

Art Workshop

This 90 minute workshop run by our 'Artist in Residence' includes an introductory talk about Aboriginal art and craft, a guided tour of current artworks displayed in the gallery (optional) and an opportunity for students to paint their own piece of art.

Students will also hear about dreaming stories and find out how they tie in with today's paintings as well as learn how to understand and interpret Aboriginal art symbols.

This workshop requires a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 (age dependent) participants.

Cultural Connection with Dreamtime Yoga

Cultural connection workshops with Dreamtime Yoga for kids and families.

This workshop is set in a fun outdoor space filled with yoga games, breathing exercise, music and movement, relaxation and mindfulness to teach our youngest community members about Aboriginal Culture - but most importantly connection to self, groundedness and connection to community through movement.

Introduce your young people to Aboriginal Ideas, culture, community, connection and creativity using outdoor open space, natural sensory aids and elements to get the best experience possible.

This workshop requires a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 (age dependent) participants.

Cost per person $11.50 Students/Concession $21.90 Adults

We require a minimum of 10 paying participants per booking.
