Discover how two worlds can collide for a great cause during this full day tour. In 2018 Monarto Safari Park and Ambleside Distillers in Hahndorf teamed up to form a fundraising partnership creating a bespoke gin to raise money for the protection and safety of southern white rhinos.

The funds will go towards relocating 40 of these magnificent animals to Monarto in the next few years.

Be treated to a glass of bubbles on departure before heading over to the Park. Feel like you've stepped into an African safari as you wander the open-range zoo witnessing the rhinos up close and learning about their distinct traits and fight for survival. Then brace yourself as you enter the 360 lion dome.

Feel your heart race faster as you walk through the tunnel and into a cage in the middle of the lions enclosure only clawing distance away from the lion pride.

Take the thrill down a few notches as you make your way to the Ambleside Distillers for a gin tasting. Meet the distillers learn about their passions by their craft and enjoy a tasting of the sold-out limited release Kifaru Gin.

The gin was inspired by native botanicals found in the lands of Monarto Safari Park perfectly marrying flavours of herbaceous Monarto Mintbush with deep notes of coffee chocolate and hazelnut from roasted wattle seed. You'll then be treated to a Kifaru Gin and Tonic which is served with strawberry mint and ground wattle seed.
