Elder Park |
Elder Park / Tarntanya Wama (Park 26) is located between the City of Adelaide and North Adelaide on the banks of the Torrens Lake.
The park is host to many community events including Carols by Candlelight, New Year's Eve, Oz Asia Moon Lantern Festival and the Adelaide Festival.
There are a number of walking tracks in and around the city area, providing beautiful views of the lake, its wildlife and the city.
Cross the bridge to visit world renowned Adelaide Oval to see the AFL or international cricket stars giving their all or head to Memorial Drive Park next door to see the international tennis stars.
Popeye launches leave from a landing stage in the Park for a 20 minute cruise upstream to the zoo or you can hire a paddleboat.
The Rotunda in Elder Park was erected in 1882 and is a well known Adelaide landmark.

Parking near Elder Park: UPark Gawler Place
From UPark Gawler Place to Elder Park: Exit the carpark onto Gawler Place and turn left at North Terrace. Continue until you reach the intersection of King William Street. Cross the road and head north until you reach the River Torrens. Elder Park is on your left.
