SIDS and Kids is dedicated to saving the lives of infants and babies through the provision of Safe Sleep Education, and supporting bereaved families with professional Grief Counselling in the first 48 hours following the loss of a child, and beyond.

SIDS and Kids is dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood, and to supporting bereaved families.

What We Do

GRIEF COUNSELLING

SIDS and Kids SA provide bereavement support for individuals and families who experience the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child up to and including age 6. This includes miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal deaths, SIDS, sudden onset illness and any other accidental death including motor vehicle accidents and drownings.

EDUCATION

SIDS and Kids SA provide safe infant sleep guidelines and education for health professionals, childcare educators, new and expectant parents and grandparents and anyone who is involved in the care of babies and infants, such as foster parents and nannies.

Grief Education is a new initiative being offered by SIDS and Kids SA and is catered to address the signs, symptoms and offer a range of tools to help children through to adults.
