Adelaide Festival Theatre

The Festival Theatre is the largest proscenium arch theatre in Adelaide, seating close to 2000 people across three levels.

Over the years the Festival Theatre has hosted a range of exceptional performers including Idina Menzel, Sylvie Guillem, Tommy Emmanuel, David Helfgott and Billy Crystal.

The Festival Theatre is located at Adelaide Festival Centre on King William Road Adelaide.

It was designed as both a lyric theatre and concert hall, and is used not only for theatrical productions and large concerts, but also for graduation ceremonies, seminars and many other functions.

Its huge backstage area makes the stage area one of the largest in the southern hemisphere and a hot favourite of companies with large sets.

It also houses the Silver Jubilee Organ, a remarkable hovering pipe organ built and donated to mark the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

Festival Drive is closed from King William Road.

Festival Theatre: The recommended Festival Theatre drop off zone for taxis is the horseshoe driveway on King William Road, north of Festival Drive.

An accessible drop off area with two disability access parking spaces is accessible from Montefiore Road via Festival Drive (west).

Car Parking
Adelaide Festival Centre's car park is closed. Alternative parking is available around the city.

Wilson Parking to offer patrons a discounted rate at Wilson Adelaide Central car park (225 North Terrace).

There are many parking options around the Adelaide Riverbank including on North Terrace and at Adelaide Oval.
