Liberty Swing | South Australia Locations |
The Liberty Swing is a playground swing for people with disabilities.
Thanks to the inspiration of developer Wayne Devine, children with disabilities can now have as much fun on swings in a playground as their able bodied mates - no more sitting on the edge and wondering what it would be like to fly through the air and feel the breeze on their faces.
Variety Liberty Swing Program
Variety has committed to deliver 30 swings each year for the next ten years to special needs children and their communities.
"On Saturday and Sunday just gone, my daughter spent a total of 9 hours swinging on the Liberty Swing at Albert Park. I would just like to thank you for giving her the opportunity to experience the joy of swinging. Her face was a picture and she drew so much attention from passers by with her squeals of delight. Needless to say, she didn't want to go home and I wonder if you could tell me the best way to get a swing for the Frankston area....."
- Dolores Scally, Victoria.
