Adelaide Studios is Australias newest studio complex. Opened in August 2011 and housed in the magnificent grounds of the heritage listed Glenside Campus in Adelaides east.
Home to the South Australian Film Corporation, Australias oldest state screen agency, the studios have been designed as a creative hub for local production companies and screen practitioners. They provide a rare combination of state screen agency, production businesses and state of the art facilities to provide producers with a unique one-stop-shop production experience.
With state-of-the-art production facilities perfect for television and ideal for everything else, Adelaide Studios includes two sound stages, Dolby Premier Mixing Theatre (Harrison and Icon console), ADR & Foley Studios and Dry Hire Edit Suites. A 96-seat screening theatre also sits within the cultural precinct of the Glenside Campus, a major redevelopment project for the South Australian Government.
Aimed at satisfying a market niche focused on providing facilities suited to domestic independent production, Adelaide Studios is designed to operate as an integrated hub for activities of the creative industries of the state, offering sufficient flexibility to support the independent production capacity upon which South Australias competitive advantage and reputation in film production has been constructed.
