Dunstan Playhouse

From production shows to seminars, conferences and product launches, the Dunstan Playhouse is a professional and cultured artistic space. Its popularity is reflective of the theatre groups who frequently base their productions in this venue.

State Theatre of South Australia has been based here since 1974 and uses the theatre, the rehearsal rooms and the extensive production workshop also housed in this second 'shell'.

Access to the Dunstan Playhouse
From North Terrace, walk to Dunstan Playhouse via the laneway between the Intercontinental Hotel and Adelaide Railway Station. Or, cross the Riverbank Footbridge at Adelaide Oval, heading south. From King William Road, walk along the Walk of Fame to the Riverbank Footbridge.

There is no vehicle access to Dunstan Playhouse from King William Road or the Festival Theatre. A drop off zone with two accessible car parks is located on Festival Drive west, accessible via Montefiore Road.
