Opened in 2014, The Maj Gallery is new exhibition space in the heart of the busy Grote Street precinct, opposite the Adelaide Central Markets.
The Maj Gallery currently celebrates the centenary of Her Majestys Theatre with the exhibition The Maj 100: A hundred years in a hundred pictures. This exhibition tells the extraordinary story of one of Australias most important historical buildings, as well as the people who performed in it and the community who embraced it. Her Majestys Theatre is the last remaining Tivoli theatre in Australia.
The Maj Gallery is open 1 hour before performances at Her Majestys Theatre, Wednesdays to Saturdays, for a total of three hours.
